What it is

Everything the paper asks for, on your schedule

Blitz and Go is an intensive preparation course for Leaving Certificate Polish, built for bilingual students who already speak the language at home. It grew out of years of teaching students who can hold any conversation in Polish and still freeze the moment they have to write a formal answer.

The material is organised the way the exam is organised, so you always know which part of the paper you are working on. What you decide is when. There is no lesson to miss and nothing to catch up on, which is the whole reason this tier exists.

Does any of this sound like you?

  • You have a target grade in mind but no plan for getting there.
  • You speak Polish every day at home and still hesitate the moment you have to write it down.
  • You are doing fine, and you know that is not the same as doing as well as you could.
  • You have never seen a marking scheme, so you are guessing at what a complete answer needs.
  • Your revision has stalled and you are not sure what would restart it.
  • You want the exam work organised into something you can actually follow.

If more than one of those landed, this is the tier built for it.

What is included

Six things, and one of them is a real person

A platform on its own is a library. What makes this a course is that somebody reads what you write and tells you why it lost the marks.

  • Close to 100 lessons

The full library is open from the day you join. Short units organised into a recommended learning sequence, with the flexibility to revisit the areas you need most, so a free half hour is always enough to make progress on something.

  • Open until June 2027

Access runs to the end of the exam year. Nothing expires mid-way and nothing unlocks on a schedule, so the pace is yours to set.

  • On whatever you have to hand

Laptop, tablet or phone. The platform works the same on all three, which matters when the only spare time you get is between other subjects.

  • Written work, marked and returned

Send in your writing and it comes back assessed for grammar, punctuation and style, with the reason behind each correction rather than just the correction.

  • Optional monthly group Q&A

Students can bring questions about the platform, written work and preparation priorities. Attendance is optional and the current support schedule is confirmed before enrolment.

  • Help building your portfolio

Guidance on developing meaningful Language Portfolio material that reflects your learning and gives you authentic personal content to discuss during the oral examination.

The 2026/27 year

The platform does not take a mid-term

Every shaded day below is a day you can log in, from to . That includes Halloween, Christmas and Easter, which is exactly when the taught tiers stop and exactly when a lot of revision actually happens. There is no fixed weekly class to fit around.

Why it works

Self-paced does not have to mean on your own

The reason most self-study fails is that nothing ever tells you whether it is working. Here two things do: your written work comes back marked by Sylwia, and an optional monthly group Q&A gives you somewhere to bring the questions that are still open.

  • It starts where you are

The first thing you do is find out which parts of the paper you are already good at. Everything after that is aimed at the gaps, so no time goes on ground you have covered.

  • It is built around the paper

Every unit points at something the exam actually asks for: comprehension, written expression, the aural, the oral. The exercises are the tasks, not warm-ups for them.

  • The Polish outlasts the exam

Writing your own language properly is worth having after June. The grammar and register work here is the part that stays useful when the Leaving Cert is behind you.

How the three tiers compare

Every session count, weekly hour figure, day and cadence below is read from the same data files that drive each tier’s own page, so no number here can drift away from them. The remaining lines say in plain English what each tier does and does not carry.

Blitz and Go compared with Academy Lite and the full Academy.

Blitz and Go is included with both taught tiers, so the choice is not really between them. It is whether you also want a fixed hour every week or the full taught year on top of it.

Where the method comes from

Built from research into bilingual learning

Blitz & Go was developed using the methodology and findings emerging from Sylwia’s ongoing PhD research, together with more than 15 years of practical teaching experience with bilingual students.

The purpose is not to give students a larger library. It is to organise preparation around the recurring language patterns and learning needs of heritage-language students.

Practise with the real thing

Every past paper, free, whether you join or not

Past papers are central to the preparation, and you do not have to wait for anyone to hand them out: our hub carries every Polish paper the State Examinations Commission has published from 2005 to 2026, with the listening audio and the marking schemes, and it costs nothing.

Before you book

Questions students and parents ask first

What is Polish Leaving Cert Blitz & Go?

It is a self-paced online platform for the Leaving Certificate Polish exam. Close to 100 short lessons cover the reading, writing, listening and oral work the paper asks for, organised into a recommended sequence you can follow whenever it suits you. Any optional Q&A or additional support included in the current edition is explained clearly before enrolment. It is the only tier that does not put a fixed lesson in your week.

Who is it for?

Bilingual students who already speak Polish at home but rarely write it, and who want the exam skills without another weekly appointment. If you are strong in conversation but unsure about formal writing, spelling or the grammar rules nobody taught you explicitly, this is built for exactly that gap.

How is this different from the Academy?

The Academy and Academy Lite are taught courses with live lessons in your week, 65 and 33 sessions respectively. Blitz and Go has none of those. You get the platform pathway, the included feedback and any optional support stated in the current offer, and you decide when the studying happens. It is also included with an Academy place, so the two are not really rivals.

How long do I keep access?

To the end of the exam year, June 2027. Save any written work you want to keep before then, because access closes with the course rather than carrying on afterwards.

Will I get feedback on my writing?

Yes. Written assignments come back assessed for grammar, punctuation and style. The point is the reason behind each correction, so you can see which habit is costing you marks rather than just which words were wrong this time.

Is there any live contact?

Blitz and Go does not include a fixed weekly live class. Any optional group Q&A included in the current edition is confirmed before enrolment, and the date is given to enrolled students rather than published here. The access window is on this page.

Can I study on any device?

Yes. Laptop, tablet or phone all work, so the platform fits into whatever time you actually have rather than requiring you to be at a desk.

How do I join Blitz & Go?

Book a free consultation. It is a short conversation about your level and how much time you realistically have, and you come out of it knowing whether the self-paced platform suits you or whether a taught tier would serve you better.
